Carl Jung not a member of a Fantastical Organization.

96ef2 1rinpoche

Letters Volume II

Dear Sir, 10 October 1956

I don’t know where you picked up this rather childish yarn about directors of world affairs located in Tibetan lamaseries.

It would be a difficult task if anybody should venture to ask you for the slightest evidence in this respect.

At all events I can tell you that I am not a member of such a wholly fantastical organization.

I have not even heard of its existence, and I would not be foolish enough to believe in it even if a dozen theosophical societies declared their faith in such an obvious swindle.

Have you ever seen even one true Tibetan rimpoche?

I have, and even one that has studied for 20 years in Lhasa.

They know many interesting things, but they are miles from where we in the Western world think they are.

Yours sincerely,

C.G. Jung ~Carl Jung, Letters Vol. II, Pages 332-333
