I was very interested in your “report” of what you have been doing during these years of war.
As you rightly suspect I’m rather flooded with letters and can only gradually work my way through an avalanche of paper.
I’m really grateful to you that you tell me how much my work has been of help in your very specific work with people uprooted through the accidents of war.
I always had a sort of hunch that whatever I had learnt about the unconscious was due to a somewhat similar but internal catastrophe in my psychic neighborhood and that the war outside was a repetition on the collective scale.
Although I was fully aware of the most incredible powers of evil lurking in the depths, I never expected such a gigantic outburst of abysmal horrors.
I congratulate you on your splendid work which must be a great satisfaction to yourself.
