letters Vol. II

To Traugott Egloff

Dear Herr Egloff, 9 February 1959

Very many thanks for your kind letter.

It instructed, soothed, and did not bore me in the least, for I am always interested to see how a man makes out with his anima.

Recognizing the shadow is what I call the apprentice piece, but making out with the anima is the masterpiece which not many can bring off.

With best greetings,

Yours sincerely,
