Letters of C. G. Jung: Volume I, 1906-1950 (Vol 1)
My dear N., 28 April 1 946
Yes, your trouble has very much to do with the dissolution of the ego.
It is the ego that doubts, hesitates, lingers, has emotions of all sorts, etc.
In your patientia you have your Self.
You have missed nothing and you have failed nowhere, you simply suffer from things that happen to you. No matter how you interpret them.
The ego wants explanation always in order to assert its existence.
Try to live without the ego. Whatever must come to you, will come. Don’t worry!
Your mood on dawn ( April 7th ) tells you everything.
Don’t allow yourself to be led astray by the ravings of the animus.
He will try every stunt to get you out of the realization of stillness, which is truly the Self.
