C.G. Jung Letters, Vol. 1: 1906-1950
To Iolande Jacobi
Dear Dr. Jacobi, 24 March 1950
I have heard that tomorrow you celebrate your 60th birthday.
I wouldn’t want to miss this opportunity of expressing my hearty felicitations.
Above all, this is the day when I must remember with gratitude all the persevering and self-sacrificing work you have done throughout the years to spread and develop my ideas.
I can only hope and wish that your health will continue to sustain your characteristic energy and working capacity so that the latter remain undiminished without detriment to the former.
To this end I also wish you that wise limitation which is the art to be learnt in the 7th decade.
In multos annos!
In enduring friendship,
C.G. Jung ~Carl Jung, Letters Vol. 1, Page 551.
