C.G. Jung Letters, Vol. 1: 1906-1950

To Julia Schmid-Lohner

Dear Frau Schmid-Lohner, 20 May 1947

I think I can set your mind at rest in regard to your question whether the days of the gospel are numbered.

People will read the gospel again and again and I myself read it again and again.

But they will read it with much more profit if they have some insight into their own psyches.

Blind are the eyes of anyone who does not know his own heart, and I always recommend the application of a little psychology so that he can understand things like the gospel still better.

Yours sincerely,

C.G. Jung ~Carl Jung, Letters Vol. 1, Page 463.
